To strengthen the cooperation between Macao and higher education institutions from overseas, and continue to improve the quality of teaching and learning in higher education, the Macao Polytechnic Institute (MPI) and the Asia-Pacific Quality Network (APQN) are jointly organising “The 13^th Higher Education International Conference on Education Innovation and Teaching Quality Assurance in the Post-Pandemic Era”. The conference focuses on the challenges and future opportunities for higher education of education innovation, as well as teaching and learning quality assurance in the post-pandemic era. The conference calls for papers from now to 16^th September. Higher education experts and scholars from Macao and all over the world are welcome to take part in and publish papers in fields related to the conference theme.

The “HigHigherHigher Education International Conference” has been organised by MPI since 2009, and this is the seventh time an international conference focusing on teaching and learning quality assurance has been jointly organised with APQN. Since the impact of the novel coronavirus pandemic, different countries and regions in the world continue to adjust their teaching models in response to the circumstance of the pandemic, which may be quite different from traditional teaching models. In the post-pandemic era, while higher education is conducting discussions on innovative educational thinking and methods, the need to ensure the high-quality development of teaching and learning is a new issue facing education. This year’s conference, focusing on the theme of “Education Innovation and Teaching Quality Assurance in the Post-Pandemic Era”, will be held online from November 22^nd to 23^rd, 2021, and offers an exchange platform for Macao and higher education assurance agencies and well-known scholars from around the world. The conference aims to discuss various factors affecting education innovation and teaching quality assurance in the post-pandemic era from multiple perspectives. Related topics include theory and practice of higher education innovation in the post-pandemic era, teaching and learning quality assurance of higher education in the post-pandemic era, strategy and practice of online education in higher education institutions, quality assurance for online education, outcome-based teaching and learning, student professional ability assessment, application of information technology in teaching and learning improvement, teachers’ professional development under the trend of online education, and change and development in the international movement of students in the post-pandemic era.

Submitted papers will be reviewed according to their relevance to the conference theme, originality and clarity. Accepted papers will be invited for presentation during the conference. The call for papers for the conference is from now until September 16^th 2021, and the papers should neither have been published before nor should be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
