Professor Wu Jian and Professor Dai Shu, respectively Vice-President and Director of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation of South China Normal University (SCNU), visited Macao Polytechnic Institute (MPI) on 14 May 2015. The delegation was warmly received by Professor Lei Heong Iok, President of MPI.

During their meeting, both sides discussed ideas about academic exchange and cooperation. Professor Wu stated that SCNU is a prestigious comprehensive university as well as a member of “Project 211”. There are three campuses, namely Shipai Campus, University City Campus and Nanhai Campus. MPI and SCNU have exchanged students since 2009. Further discussions concerning the possibilities for establishing an exchange of scholars, as well as opportunities for collaboration in various areas of education and research, were also held.

During his stay Professor Wu visited various teaching and research facilities at MPI. Accompanying Professor Lei Heong Iok to receive the SCNU delegation were Dr Marcus Im, Director of School of Public Administration, Professor Lou Shenghua, Programme Coordinator of Public Administration, Dr Vivian Lei, Head of Academic Affairs Department, and Ms Isabel Rosa Duque, Acting Head of Students Affairs Office.
