Summary:

Macao’s integration into the overall national development has entered a new historical stage. It is important to strengthen national awareness and to make efforts to maintain an overall stability in the Macao SAR. At the same time, it is also the task of the Macao people to speed up the construction of the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin and to integrate Macao into this new system of joint consultation, joint management and shared benifits between Guangdong and Macao. In order to promote scientific government decision-making, precise social governance, and efficient public services, the “One Country, Two Systems” Research Center of Macau Polytechnic University published the Proceedings of Academic Conference on “Law and Policy Relating to the Integration of Macao in National Development” in September 2022.

This book is consisted of a total of 10 academic papers, including: “Technological Optimization of Internet Judicial Governance in the Post-epidemic Era” by Professor Zhang Demiao, “Review and Development of the National Agricultural Policies” by Researcher Hu Binghe, “The Integrating Progress in the National Carbon Neutrality Strategy by the Resort and Hotel Industry of Macao” by Professor Liu Dingji, and “Exploring an adjustment Direction Towards Taiwan Through the Experience of the Implementation of ‘One Country, Two Systems’ in Hong Kong and Macao” by Professor Xu Chang. The academic works in this book all show unique insights towards the subject matter. It is believed that the book will introduce new ideas and new concepts to the implementation of the “One Country, Two Systems” in the Macao SAR and the SAR governance system. It is also a good reference for the study of “One Country, Two Systems” and other related theories and practices of public administration.
