To support developing Macao as a Centre for World Tourism and Leisure, the Centre for Continuing Education of Macao Polytechnic University offers the course “Banquet Event Planning and Management Practice”. The course, which starts on 26^th March, is now open for application and welcomes applications from practitioners in the exhibition and catering industry, those engaged in hotel banquet planning and event coordinators, as well as those interested in the development of the catering and banquet industry.   Application is on first-come-first served basis.

Banquet event planning and management are closely related to tourism and exhibition promotion, and are the showcase and supporting facilities for the implementation of tourism exhibition projects. The course “Banquet Event Planning and Management Practice” allows students to understand the concept, knowledge and skills of banquet event management; to comprehend  the development trend of the international banquet industry, as well as the role and types, specifications, arrangements and hospitality etiquette of different banquets in exhibitions; to master how to plan and implement banquet event activities, banquet-related practices and operating standards; and to understand the risk management of banquet events.
