Professor Wu Weishan's Sculpture Studio

The sculpture studio has been established by the world-famous master sculptor Professor Wu Weishan, President of the China Academy of Sculpture in 2001, an important milestone on the artistic journey he has since travelled with MPU. The studio exhibits work that Professor Wu has created during his presence at MPU in various teaching activities after Macao's handover, as well as pieces he has donated to the University.

Confucius Statue

The Confucius statue was erected in 2013 with the huge support of Professor Wu Weishan, who created this two-metre tall statue for MPU as a gift. The statue stands in the lobby of Meng Tak Building against a wall with a design simulating bamboo slips, where Professor Wu's calligraphy from his article 'The Ancient Way of Sculpturing Confucius' is inscribed, infusing the lobby with a strong atmosphere of Chinese traditional culture and an artistic ambience.

Lam Kan Special Collection Museum

Established in March 2001, the museum comprises a variety of precious books, periodicals, masterpieces and multimedia information about arts donated by Mr. Lam Kan, the famous artist in Macao. The collections include calligraphy, architecture, sculpture, seal engraving, ceramics, sketches, paintings, photography and more.

Sino-Lusophone Historical Collections

The Sino-Lusophone Historical Collections were donated by Professor Lei Heong Iok, President of the University Council. The collections include books and manuscripts covering Chinese and Portuguese history, language and culture. Professor Lei is dedicated to cultivating Portuguese language talents in Macao and promoting relevant research with significant achievements.
