Macao Polytechnic University organised a celebratory event to send out blessings during the Mid-Autumn Festival, gathering students together to enjoy the holiday. The event aimed to allow students to experience the festive atmosphere and promote traditional Chinese cultural celebrations. Furthermore, students were encouraged to extend their blessings and greetings to their relatives and friends, creating a warm and delightful atmosphere.

MPU students participated in traditional Mid-Autumn Festival customs through activities such as lantern riddles, couplets, handmade lantern crafting, and mooncake tasting, etc. Participating students wrote their blessings for family, friends and classmates on wish cards, using words to convey their longing for loved ones and holiday wishes, creating a warm and heartfelt atmosphere. The MPU Mainland Students Union, which helped to organise the event, explained that the Mid-Autumn Festival is one of the four major traditional Chinese festivals. Every year in September, students are eager to participate in the university's Mid-Autumn celebration, sharing the joy of the festival with peers. The event also attracted international students from countries such as Portugal, Brazil, Cape Verde and Sao Tome. They enjoyed the activity and took photos with colorful rabbit lanterns, and listened to their classmates explaining the answers to lantern riddles. They also tasted mooncakes of various flavors. Through these activities, they gained a deeper understanding of the cultural heritage embedded in the Mid-Autumn Festival and Chinese culture.

MPU is dedicated to cultivating students' love and understanding of their homeland. By organising Chinese festival events, the university showcases the charm of traditional culture, carries forward the long history and virtues of the Chinese nation, enhances students' knowledge and inheritance of Chinese history and culture, and cultivates cultural confidence and national pride.
