MPI Women’s Basketball Team Win the University Students Basketball Championship to Become Champions
MPI women’s basketball team won the championship of the women’s category
The basketball team of Macao Polytechnic Institute (MPI) won the championship of the women’s category and the second runner-up in the men’s category in the “2021-2022 Macao University Students Basketball Championship” organised by the Macau Universitarian Sports Association.
Seven institutions sent their men and women teams to compete in the event. After several fierce competitions, MPI’s basketball teams showed great spirit and won the championship of the women’s category as well as the second runner-up of the men’s category. Captain of the women’s basketball team, Miss Chan, a student of the Physical Education Programme, stated that this honor belongs to her teammates, who always fight together with a common goal, and they have shown the enterprising spirit of MPI students. She also expressed her gratitude to the Institute for the support and the coach’s guidance, and hoped that the team could reach new heights in the future and pass on the spirit of sportsmanship.
MPI men’s basketball team won the second runner-up of the men’s category
