CATTI Tests at Macao Polytechnic University are now accepting applications

The 2023 China Accreditation Test for Translators and Interpreters (CATTI) will take place at the Macao Polytechnic University on November 4th and 5th, 2023. Macao Polytechnic University is the sole testing venue in Macao offering the English and Portuguese translation exams. Online registration is currently open through September 29th. Individuals from all backgrounds are encouraged to participate.

Macao Polytechnic University has signed a cooperation agreement with the CATTI Program Project Management Center of the China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration to set up the first CATTI test site in the Hong Kong and Macao region. This meaningful partnership aims to better support translation professionals in Macao and the surrounding Greater Bay Area by expanding access to the certification exam, and also works to strengthen quality and standards across the translation field.

CATTI is a comprehensive certification for translation professionals in China. It is the sole language-related test included in China's national vocational qualification system. The translation qualification certificate is jointly issued by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of China and the China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration. This certification holds significant recognition in the job market and is highly regarded by industry professionals as well as college students specializing in translation and interpreting studies.

The CATTI Tests in Macao (MPU exam site) are now accepting applications. Interested individuals are welcome to visit the official website at http://www.catticenter.com for online registration. To assist candidates in effectively preparing for the tests, the MPU exam site will be hosting a free online lecture on the evening of September 25th. This lecture will focus on analyzing the key points of the exam. Individuals from all backgrounds are encouraged to scan the QR code provided to participate.
