Macao Polytechnic University hosted the “2nd Campus Vitality Sports Month” to promote the physical and mental development of students

To fully implement the Macao Youth Policy and enhance the physical and mental well-being of university students, the Student Affairs Office of Macao Polytechnic University organised the “2nd Campus Vitality Sports Month.” Through a series of exciting sports activities, the event aimed to cultivate students’ lasting interest in sports, creating a vibrant and energising campus atmosphere. Professional coaches were invited to provide guidance, comprehensively enhancing students’ interest in sports and promoting their physical and mental development.

The opening ceremony of the “2nd Campus Vitality Sports Month” featured a demonstration of Tai Chi routines by Iao Chon In, the head coach of the Macau Wushu Team, World Wushu Championship titleholder, and graduate of the Master’s programme in Sports and Physical Education at Macao Polytechnic University. Additionally, coaches from the Macau Freestyle Jump Rope Team and graduates of the Bachelor’s programme in Physical Education, Tam Chi Hang and Ng Kuok Kun, instructed students in freestyle jump rope and boxing, respectively. Furthermore, a “Health Check Station” booth was set up on campus to promote healthy living and positive thinking through health checks and sports games.

Those who participated in the activities said that experiencing various sports helped them to establish healthy exercise habits, develop diverse leisure interests outside of academic study, and enrich their learning experiences.

The Macao Polytechnic University has always focused on the holistic development of students, actively promoting the full implementation of the Macao Youth Policy and consistently aiming to enhance students’ physical and mental well-being.
