Service Learning Scheme |
The scheme aims to recruit students who are willing to provide services based on their specialised skills and professional knowledge. Through organising and designing specific service projects within or outside the campus, the scheme aims to cultivate members’ abilities in handling tasks, coordinating, organising, as well as expanding their social and interpersonal relationships. The process of practice, training, and experience will help establish learning goals and personal growth. The scheme is divided into two semesters, with the first semester dedicated to preparation for the project and the second semester focused on implementing the services. Participation will be during non-class hours, based on not delaying or overlapping with class schedules. A team will be responsible for guiding and assisting members in organising suitable time periods to participate and complete the planned activities, in order to achieve the expected goals. All participating members who meet the attendance requirements will have their attendance recorded and logged into the University’s e-Portfolio system. |
