Macao Polytechnic Institute Held Quality Assurance Workshops

The teachers of Macao Polytechnic Institute participated in the quality assurance workshops.

The teachers from different schools of Macao Polytechnic Institute conducted group discussion.

Professor Li Ping Wai, former Programme Coordinator of the Social Work Programme from the Hong Kong Shue Yan University, and Dr. Erica Lau, Vice Principal of Po Leung Kuk Academy of Professional Education from Hong Kong, were invited to Macao Polytechnic Institute to hold quality assurance workshops with the teachers on three consecutive days from 3rd to 5th December 2019.

These workshops introduced how the scope and areas of the UK's Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) review related to Macao Polytechnic Institute. They also introduced evidence-based quality assurance mechanism, outcome-based teaching and learning, quality assurance monitoring and continuing enhancement. The workshops attracted more than 30 teachers from different schools of Macao Polytechnic Institute to participate. The speakers and the teachers exchanged views regarding the instructional design of their own subjects and programmes.

Macao Polytechnic Institute is benchmarked against the quality and standards of British higher education, continuously reviewing our own quality assurance systems. The participating teachers believed that the workshop was closely related to the core policy of quality assurance of Macao Polytechnic Institue.
