Dr Zeng's paper derives from his research project funded by Macao Polytechnic Institute. Associate Professor Chen Yiping of Jinan University contributed part of the study. It examines the favourable and unfavourable factors of the Macao gaming industry. To ensure the industry’s sustainable development, Dr Zeng suggests keeping a close watch on its developmental direction, noting the expectation of the community and minimizing the impacts upon “morbid state gamblers” and its diversified development.
