Professor Robert Chi from California State University at Long Beach is a Professor in Information Systems at the College of Business Administration. He served as the Associate Dean for Accreditation from 2011 to 2016 and led his team in gaining successful re-accreditation by AACSB in 2014.
Professor Chi received his degrees from University of Texas-Austin (PhD), University of Wisconsin-Madison (MSc) and National Chiao-Tung University (BSc). His main research interests are electronic commerce, information systems management and data mining. He is the author of over 80 refereed papers published in leading journals such as Decision Support Systems, Journal of Management Information Systems, Journal of Electronic Commerce Research, International Journal of Intelligent Systems, Expert Systems with Applications, Annals of Operations Research and Journal of the Operational Research Society.
Professor Chi is the founder and co-editor-in-chief of the Journal of Electronic Commerce Research (SSCI), which was ranked fourth worldwide by more than 400 scholars in quality among e-commerce-related journals in 2002. He also serves on several journal editorial boards and doctoral dissertation committees.
Professor Chi has extensive experience in academic accreditation, quality assurance and curriculum development. He is a consultant and advisor for many leading universities in China, such as Harbin Institute of Technology, Tianjin University and Xiamen University, Southwest JiaoTong University and Shenzhen University.
