My name is Tracy, I am studying Physical Education year 3 at Macao Polytechnic Institute. I was so glad that I had this opportunity to go to Australia during this summer holiday. Australia is such a nice and beautiful place, the view was excellent and people were very polite and friendly. I love and miss that country very much.

That trip was very enjoyable and exciting. In school, I could improve English and learn English with classmates who are from all around the world. I enjoyed chatting and studying with them. They could let me know about exotic cultures in different ways. After the class was dismissed, I went out and had fun with my friends. We went to so many places as long as we stuck together and also took a lot of photos. This trip was unforgettable in my life. I will totally remember it for my whole life.

The highlights for me during these days were heading to skydiving with my friends. Going skydiving was the most exciting thing in my life. I was very happy I could succeed in doing it. I could jump into the sky, I could see the clouds and I could almost touch them, which was extremely amazing. Moreover, my Macao friends were very envious of me because there is nothing like this kind of extreme sports to experience in Macao and they really wanted to try. I think I will probably try it again sometime in the future.

In addition, another challenge always was how to find how to go to another place. The transportation in Melbourne is quite difficult to guide me to another location. Compared with Macau, I can drive everywhere I want because I am Macanese. We don’t need to google and search anything to find the location. The first day I went to school, I still needed to get a sim card and got lost in the train station. I got nervous and was panic because I couldn’t go online to search which station was heading to school. However, I was very lucky that I met a kind lady who taught me when and how to get off at the train station. I really appreciated it.

Furthermore, I learnt more about some employer skills and interview skills in school, which greatly will help me to apply for a job after my graduation. The employer skills let me know that a job needs teamwork and communication. Teamwork can make the team united. In our daily lives, we always work in a team so teamwork is important in the workplace. I think the main point of teamwork is to respect each other. I will make good use of these skills in my future.

Finally, I was very thankful for my homestay mother. She took care of me very much. Everyday she woke up early to make breakfast for me. When I came home late, she would be driving a car to take me to the train station. I was sorry about that I couldn’t spend a lot of time with her, because I was spending a lot of time going out with my friends in other ways. She was the best cook in the world. She made some Chinese food and let me try. Certainly, all of the dinners were delicious. I appreciated her kindness, she was very patient to talk with me even though she was seventy years old, and my English wasn't very good. I was so glad to become a member of her family. I miss her so much. I am looking forward to seeing her next time in Australia.
