Student evaluation of teachers is one of the most important input for all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to develop their quality of teaching and learning. Through the mechanism, each HEI knows what is gap between student’s expectation and capacity of academics staff, and closing the gap is the only way to improve quality of academic staff – the most decisive factor to ensure HEI’s quality. Foreign Trade University Vietnam is the most prestigious university in Vietnam in disciplines of economic, law, language, business administration, finances because of excellence students, quality of teaching and learning, and employability of graduates. There are many reasons to explain the reputation and establishing successful SET system is one of the most critical factors. With more than 10 years experiences, the system significantly supported the development of teaching and learning quality within FTU and become best practices for Vietnamese HEIs. From FTU experience, to implement SET system effectively, each HEIs should: (i) have a high commitment from Governance/ Board of Management; (ii) establish SET system involved online and offline as well; (iii) Computerize related activities in SET system; (iv) encourage students to involve the system voluntary; and (v) decentralize the function of the system to each school/ faculty/ division.

1. Dr. Vo Sy Manh is a Doctor of Laws, Director of Center for Testing and Quality Assurance, Foreign Trade University - a member of ASEAN University Quality Assurance Network (AUN-QA), organization of Asia Pacific Quality Assurance Network (APQN). He is an Auditor since 2014 and expert in quality assurance, IQA research and ranking; teaching and guiding students on many training courses on quality assurance in Vietnam. He is also ASEAN-QA Alumni.
2. Dr. Nguyen The Anh is a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA), Vice Director of Center for Testing and Quality Assurance, Foreign Trade University - a member of ASEAN University Quality Assurance Network (AUN-QA), organization of Asia Pacific Quality Assurance Network (APQN). He is expert in quality assurance, especially integrated-IQA, stakeholders survey and quality system. He participated in many training courses related to quality assurance which ogranized by AUN-QA, and productivity enhancement in HEIs which funded by Asean Productivity Organzation.

3. Ms Nguyen Thi Thuy Duong is an expert in accreditation at both institutional and programme level. She also is in charge of Database Management and feedback system at Center for Testing and Quality Assurance, Foreign Trade University Vietnam - a member of ASEAN University Quality Assurance Network (AUN-QA), organization of Asia Pacific Quality Assurance Network (APQN). She responses for international cooperation activities at the Center. She achieved Master of Finance and Treasury, University of Rennes, France at 2014.
