Abstract The Pedagogical Quality Management Process at University of Coimbra evolves an active participation of teachers and students. According to the established procedures, the self-assessment of the study cycle is held at the end of each school year with the participation of different stakeholders. The final report must be ensured by the coordinator/director of the study cycle. The self-assessment process consists of a SWOT analysis, including information regarding several aspects, including namely access, academic success, employability, and information from the educational surveys. Considering this analysis, improvement actions are set on an annual basis, which are evaluated in the following year. The information system generates indicators regarding course units (e.g. academic success) and educational surveys. At the end of the year this information is collected and analysed for the purpose of self-assessment of the study cycle. The Pedagogical Quality Management Process at University of Coimbra is briefly described in this presentation. |
