India in ancient period was the land of wisdom and knowledge. Nalanda and Takshashilaare renowned institutes of higher learning and impart education as the instrument of individual, societal and economic transformation in and around the country. Higher education is the backbone of any society. It is the quality of higher education that decides the quality of human resources in a country. From the time immemorial the higher education played a vital role in the history of mankind and the higher education system is the prime agenda of the countries world over.
