Mr. Greg Watson, Chief Executive Officer of Bell Educational Trust, received a warm welcome from Macao Polytechnic Institute (MPI) during his visit on 27th June, 2012, to the MPI Main Campus and the MPI-Bell Centre of English, one of the three Bell Educational Trust partner centres in China.

The MPI-Bell Centre, on the third floor of the newly opened Meng Tak Building at MPI, has been offering high quality courses in General English, Academic and Business English, testing such as IELTS and TKT (Teaching Knowledge Test), and English teacher training.

Professor Lei Heong Iok, President of MPI, extended his sincere thanks to Bell Educational Trust for their confidence in and support for the Institute. In order to enhance local English standards and provide more opportunities for residents to experience and use authentic English, Professor Lei promised to continue offering professional high quality English courses and training at different levels to suit the needs of potential learners in Macao.

Mr. Watson updated the host on the latest developments and new initiatives of Bell and appreciated the great achievements of MPI and MPI-Bell over the years. A new cooperation agreement between the two institutions was signed and new ideas and perspectives exchanged about closer ties and cooperation in the future, especially in areas such as ESP (English for Specific Purposes), TKT and English teacher training.
