MPI’s Wang Kuan wins Hong Kong Marathon

Our student Wang Kun won championship in the Hong Kong Standard Chartered Half Marathon Challenge Men’s Overall and Men’s Senior Category in 1:09:08. Wang’s achievement in the Marathon joined by 22,500 runners around the world has brought great honor to MPI and to Macao.

“Running is my everything. I am destined to run.” Being a year 3 student of Physical Education in MPI, Wang never slacks off from his routine -- he insists on training every morning and every evening, rain or shine. His invincible spirit has also uplifted the learning attitude of MPI students and also develops their interest in sports.

After winning the Half Marathon, Wang aims at breaking this record by 3 minute in his next race. With his next target at tackling the world runners’ gala – the 1,576-step Empire State Building Run-up in New York City, we wish Wang Kuan great success in his leaps to his dream and hope he spreads the spirit of MPI worldwide!
