ESCE faculty members and students attended an informative and entertaining seminar in Room M610 delivered by Miss Carmen Ng of ESG Matters Asia on 17 March 2021. The seminar used virtual meeting solutions while Miss Carmen Ng made her presentation at Hong Kong Cyberport. Miss Carman Ng introduced the definition and conceptual framework of soundscape based on ISO 12913-1:2014. She shared with faculty members and students on how soundscape is embedded as one of the key components of a smart city and soundscape studies have been carried out in Hong Kong for planning new towns. She also reported that auralization and visualization have been integrated in various augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies.
