Abriram, no dia 15 de Outubro 2021, as inscrições para os cursos de pós-graduação do Instituto Politécnico de Macau. Os cursos de mestrado e doutoramento do IPM abrangem as áreas das Artes e Criatividade, Tecnologias de Informação, Gestão de Empresas, Administração Pública, Serviços Sociais, Medicina e Saúde, Ciências do Desporto, Tradução e Línguas, etc. O IPM dá as boas-vindas a profissionais de alta qualidade que procurem a excelência no âmbito da investigação científica.

The School of Business of Macao Polytechnic Institute (MPI) held a School Advisory Board Meeting on Jun. 17. Ten board members attended the meeting,including: Mr. Raymond Yap, Senior Director – Integrated Resort Services of Galaxy Entertainment Group; Ms. Grace Cheung, Senior Advisor of Pricewaterhouse Coopers; Mr. Allan Chung, Vice President of Ecommerce and Digital Transformation, Sands China Ltd; Ms. Catherine Lee, Vice President of Joyer Group; Mr. Leong Kam Chun, Partner of Keng Ou CPAs; Mr. Weiling Lin, General Manager of Human Resources Department, ICBC Macao; Mr. Loi Chi Kong, Banking Business Consultant of Bank of China (Macau Branch); Mr. Justin Lu, Vice President of Regional Marketing, MGM; Mr. Sam Tou, Executive Director of BNU; Ms. Winnie Wong, Assistant Senior VP of Internal Communication & Engagement (HR& Admin) of Galaxy Entertainment Group.
De acordo com a lista dos dois por cento melhores cientistas do mundo publicada pela equipa de pesquisa da Universidade de Stanford dos Estados Unidos, sendo estes dois por cento dos melhores cientistas escolhidos entre quase sete milhões de cientistas em todo o mundo, e sendo as comunicações académicas do Professor Coordenador To Wai Ming do Instituto Politécnico de Macau altamente citadas, o mesmo professor é considerado um dos melhores 2% cientistas do mundo.
ESCE faculty members and students attended an informative and entertaining seminar in Room M610 delivered by Miss Carmen Ng of ESG Matters Asia on 17 March 2021. The seminar used virtual meeting solutions while Miss Carmen Ng made her presentation at Hong Kong Cyberport. Miss Carman Ng introduced the definition and conceptual framework of soundscape based on ISO 12913-1:2014. She shared with faculty members and students on how soundscape is embedded as one of the key components of a smart city and soundscape studies have been carried out in Hong Kong for planning new towns. She also reported that auralization and visualization have been integrated in various augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies.
Mr Leong Kam Chun CPA , Managing Partner of Keng Ou CPA Firm, and the other two partners, Mr Jason Cheung and Jimmy Lai conducted a successful guidance talk on Mar.9 to our Accounting Program students on how to prepare and perform for Accounting Practicum. Mr Leong introduced the background of Macao Accounting industry, the Accounting working environment and requirements. Mr Jason Cheung and Mr Jimmy Lai, shared skills and experiences of Accounting office work, professional accounting examination, practicum preparation, interview techniques and Accounting practicum work duties. Finally Mr Leong conducted a Q&A session to students for answering student enquiries.

A Escola Superior de Ciências Empresariais do Instituto Politécnico de Macau (IPM) e a Sands China co-organizaram recentemente uma “Sessão de Partilha sobre a Cooperação no Comércio Electrónico”. Estiveram presentes nesse evento os seguintes representantes da Sands China: o Dr. Paulo Cheong, Vice-Presidente pelos Recursos Humanos; a Dra. Ng Candy, Sub-Directora executiva; a Dra. Sónia da Conceição, Gerente; e o Dr. Allan Chung, Director Executivo Administrativo do Departamento do Marketing Digital e do Comércio Electrónico, entre outros. Os representantes do IPM foram: o Professor Huang Guihai, Director da Escola Superior de Ciências Empresariais; a Sra. Cheong Weng Lam, Chefe, em substituição, do Serviço de Assuntos Académicos; Sra. Lao Weng Ian, Chefe da Divisão de Assuntos de Estudantes; e Professora Lai Sau Ling, Coordenadora do Curso de Licenciatura em Comércio Electrónico, entre outros. Nessa sessão, dois antigos alunos do IPM, Casper Wong e Gabriel Ho, graduados do Curso de Licenciatura em Comércio Electrónico do IPM, que desempenham, neste momento, funções de analista de negócios do Resort da Sands China, partilharam as suas impressões e experiências de como entrar na carreira profissional através do IPM. Havia mais de oitenta pessoas, incluindo os docentes e alunos do Curso de Licenciatura em Comércio Electrónico do IPM, que participaram nesse evento.
MPI’s Bachelor of Accounting passed Learning Programme Review by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ)
The Bachelor of Accounting programme of the Macao Polytechnic Institute (MPI) has successfully passed the Learning Programme Review conducted by the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ). This marks the first degree programme in the field of accounting to have passed an international academic review in Macao. The panel gave very positive feedback to the programme regarding its teaching, academic development and research capabilities which together create an excellent learning environment for students. Having previously been accredited by professional bodies such as the CPA Australia and ACCA UK, this successful international review has highlighted the superb quality of higher education in Macao and is yet another demonstration of MPI’s excellence in teaching. Following this positive exercise, MPI’s academic endeavours will be further intensified to contribute to the nurturing of talents for Macao and neighbouring regions.
Macao Polytechnic Institute held a “Sharing Session by Alumnus Ye Tiansheng: MPI's Spirit Guides Us Through Life's Challenges”, in which the alumnus from the Bachelor of E-Commerce Programme Mr. Ye Tiansheng was invited to share with MPI students his experience of further study in the United States of America and of being an entrepreneur, and especially to convey a positive message to his junior classmates and to encourage them to follow their dreams. The sharing session attracted nearly 100 students and academic staff members to attend.
More than 100 MPI students and teachers attend a “Briefing Session on the Young Entrepreneurs Aid Scheme”
To promote a diversified development of young people, and to provide information about various government measures to support youth entrepreneurship to the students who want to set up businesses, Macao Polytechnic Institute and Macao Economic Services organized a “Briefing Session on the Young Entrepreneurs Aid Scheme - Macao Polytechnic Institute Session” on 9 March 2016.
