“Joint Modern and Contemporary Art Exhibition of Year 3, Visual Art Programme, Macao Polytechnic Institute” opens on Friday
To enrich students' practical experience in modern and contemporary art creation, Macao Polytechnic Institute has organised the “Joint Modern and Contemporary Art Exhibition of Year 3, Visual Art Programme, Macao Polytechnic Institute”, with the theme of “Gybe”. The Opening Ceremony will be held on April 30, at 5.30pm in the Macao Polytechnic Institute Gallery, Taipa Campus. Interested parties are welcome to visit.
The exhibition will be open from April 30, 2021 to May 20, 2021. It showcases various modern and contemporary art works of the third-year students from the Visual Art Programme, covering installation art, immersive art, conceptual art as well as graphic works. The exhibition is a new trial for the MPI Visual Art Programme; the students take the modern and contemporary arts as the thematic orientation, carrying out diversified artistic creations, and expanding innovative thinking. This exhibtion creates a new milestone and new vibes for the programme.
The MPI Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Visual Art is the most historic higher art education program in Macao. This programme offers diversified majors such as oil painting, printmaking, traditional Chinese painting, sculpturing, and ceramics; it focuses on both theories and practices, and encourages students to participate in creation. The visual arts programme officially opened at the Taipa campus the last September, equipped with spacious, well-equipped classrooms and various professional studios, which provide an excellent learning environment for the students to explore their personal interests and show off their artistic talents.
