MPI Connect Issue 1 is Now Released

To unite alumni strength, foster the alumni relationship and allow alumni to closely find out the developments of its alma mater, Macao Polytechnic Institute announces the publication of MPI Connect. With the support of Dr. Alexis Tam Chon Weng, Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture of the Macao SAR Government, the Community and all alumni, the first issue of MPI Connect has been released in April. MPI Connect will be published twice a year in two languages and it will include features such as interviews with alumni, reports of alumni association activities and news of recent developments of MPI.

From 1991 up to now, MPI has educated more than 16,000 graduates. They are now pursing their dreams in Macao, Mainland China or Overseas. The MPI Connect aims to foster the relationship and connection between graduates and MPI. In each issue MPI Connect will provide the update news of alumni and recent developments of MPI. In the first issue, we have the honour to interview Macao and Hong Kong renowned singer, alumnus of the Design programme, Mr. Chui Chi Iong (Siufay), President of the General Assembly of the Macau Universitarian Sports Association, alumnus of the Physical Education programme, Mr. Lou Kit Long (Ryo) and Head of Department of Language Affairs of the Public Administration and Civil Service Bureau, alumnus of the Translation and Interpretation programme, Mr. Casmiro De Jesus Pinto (Miro) to share their stories of success with the readers. The content of MPI Connect also includes alumni sharing, alumni association activity and updates of MPI.

The first issue of MPI Connect is now released. You are welcome to approach our Student Affairs Office or Library to get a copy (while stocks last). You can also read the online version on MPI alumni website http://alumni.ipm.edu.mo. The second issue of MPI Connect is now calling for articles; as alumni, you are cordially invited to send your experiences, life motto or stories to alumniaffairs@ipm.edu.mo.
