Macao Polytechnic Institute Invites Applications to Enrol on its Internationally Recognised Undergraduate Programmes

Macao Polytechnic Institute will commence accepting applications from prospective local students for its 2016/2017 undergraduate programmes from 1st February 2016. Graduating senior high school students and working professionals who wish to pursue further studies are invited to apply. The Institute’s academic aspects focus specifically on Portuguese, gaming research, computing and English, and MPI prides itself on its culture- and creativity-oriented programmes. It offers degree programmes which are relevant to Macao's economic development Macao's aspirations to become a‘world-class tourist centre’ and‘business platform for the Chinese and Lusophone regions’, helping students to excel in life.

MPI continuously engages in the improvement of teaching quality as one of its core values. As early as 2013 the Institute became Asia's first higher education institution to have successfully undertaken an institutional review conducted by the UK Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA), an internationally renowned organisation for academic quality assurance. MPI’s quality of teaching has reached new heights as its various undergraduate degree programmes, including Computing, Accounting, E-commerce, Public Administration (Portuguese) and Music, have received academic and professional validations.

MPI adheres to the motto of being“rooted in Macao while serving the community”. Emphasising both theoretical and practical aspects of the student's area of study, MPI's degree programmes are relevant to the economic and social needs of Macao. In their four years of learning students have many opportunities to broaden their horizons by undertaking exchanges or internships outside Macao, including Portugal, Mainland China, United States, Australia, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

In the upcoming academic year MPI will continue to recruit mostly local students to nurture more professionals for the development of Macao. MPI invites applications for admission to a wide variety of undergraduate programmes for the academic year 2016/2017, including Physical Education, Public Administration, Social Work, Computing, Sino-Lusophone Trade Relations, Visual Arts, Music, Design, E-Commerce, Marketing, Accounting, Public Relations, Management, Gaming and Recreation Management, Nursing, Biomedical Technology, Chinese-English Translation and Interpretation, and Chinese-Portuguese/Portuguese-Chinese Translation and Interpretation.
