We arrange students to go abroad to study whilst they are at MPI. By going global, our students will discover the world at the same time as they develop their language skills. Most of our programmes now provide opportunities for students to study at overseas institutions.
We have established collaborations with many renowned academic institutions overseas. Students and graduates who have met the academic and English requirements may transfer credits and gain entry into undergraduate or postgraduate programmes at these universities:
- Queen Mary University of London
- City University of Birmingham
- University of California Los Angeles
- Illinois State University
- Seton Hall University
- Monash University
- University of Queensland
- RMIT University
- Instituto Politécnico de Leiria
‘3+1’ study mode
Students belonging to the following programmes will study for a year abroad.
- Chinese-Portuguese Translation and Interpretation
- Chinese-English Translation and Interpretation
- International Chinese Language Education
- Portuguese Language
- Sino-Lusophone Trade Relations
Remarks: The transportation, accommodation costs and living expenses shall be responsible by students.
We have exchange arrangements with many prestigious universities in the Chinese Mainland and indeed around the world. Students can spend either a semester or a year away from MPI as part of an exchange programme. Please follow this link for more details.
As an initiative for students to obtain valuable research experience, we have been working with the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) to offer our outstanding students a chance to conduct research with leading experts in the relevant fields.
Students also have the option to participate in other short-term academic and research exchanges. Our ‘Overseas Study Programme’ offered every summer allows students to go on a 3-week cultural exchange to Monash University (Australia). This successful programme provides an opportunity for students to get to the forefront of local businesses, learning environment and cultural practices by immersing themselves in a global business context.
