Student Union of Macao Polytechnic Institute
has been founded for over 13 years since 5th August, 1993.
MPI Student Union is a non-beneficial organization representing
students of MPI’s degree programmes. Protecting and
striving for students’ rights and seeking welfare for
students are the principal of the Student Union. It also
acts as an important role for unifying students together,
cultivating students’ teamwork spirit and a sense
of responsibility. Moreover, MPI Student Union works as
a bridge
between students, the Institute and the government. MPI Student Union holds different activities each year,
including Orientation, Halloween party, English slogan
competition, bicycle traveling and academic seminars. The
Student Union always appeals MPI students to support and
participate in social charities, such as Million Walk for
charity. It provides abundant extracurricular activities
to enrich the leisure time of students, including courses
of tennis, swordplay, judo, etc. MPI students are always
active in Macao sports events. Every year, the Student
Union organizes MPI students to join Macao University Student
Sports Day and has got the Champion for 11 years continuously.
MPI Student Union publishes a quarterly periodical in order
to announce the latest news of the Institute and to share
the joy with students. In the aspect of assisting the advance of Macao’s
development, MPI Student Union organizes various cultural
activities and academic exchange schemes with other organizations
or institutions in Macao, Mainland China, Hong Kong each
year. MPI Student Union contributes to Macao, to MPI, to students,
shows passion and warmth to all the students in MPI, enriches
the students’ campus life and makes their lives brilliant. |
