Class Observation

In order to provide teachers with opportunities to observe and learn from each other, in addition to collecting students’ opinions for the assessment of the teaching performance of teachers, class observations are carried out. Class observation teams are formed by Schools to evaluate the classes of teachers. Teachers are informed about the arrangements prior to the class observation. To ensure accountability, evaluation forms are signed by the class observation team. (Please refer to Internal Assessment Report on Teaching Quality)

In principle, all Schools should have in place arrangements for at least one class observation of all full-time teachers every academic year. As for part-time teachers, the Institute encourages Schools to arrange class observations and make suggestions for improving their teaching.
