Programme outline 課程簡介

The Chinese‐English Translation Programme offers both an evening and daytime mode of study, maintaining a ratio of 2 daytime classes to 1 evening class per year. Since both nighttime and daytime study modes are full‐time, with the same number of class hours, they follow the same curriculum and syllabi, course content, materials, mode of presentation and assessment. The learning process for both types of courses is closely monitored to make sure that they are maintained at the same level.

Programme objectives 課程目標

The programme aims to

1) develop students' English and Chinese communication skills, which they will need to serve as effective and responsible intermediaries between the two languages;

2) enhance students' awareness of their prospective roles as language specialists in government, business and the professions in Macao's multilingual community.
