MPI Students Visited Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village
Macao Polytechnic Institute (MPI) co-organised a programme with Shenzhen University to arrange students to participate in the “Experience Journey of Chinese Culture” during the summer vacation. MPI students studied the history and traditions of Chinese culture together with students from Shenzhen and Hong Kong, and learned the city developments of Shenzhen and Guizhou. This experience journey allows students to realise the profoundness of Chinese culture and the development of modern China.
During this experience journey, MPI students attended the lectures of “Overview of the Infrastructure and Local Culture of Shenzhen” and “The Emergence and Image of Chinese Culture”. MPI students also visited Shenzhen Qianhai Shekou Free Trade Area, as well as the headquarters of the famous technology company Tencent and the Entrepreneur Zone in Shenzhen University, to learn about the developments of financial trade and technology businesses in Shenzhen. Afterwards, MPI students transferred to Guizhou and visited the Confucius Academy. MPI students gained knowledge of Confucianism through exploring the graphic, real scene and multimedia displays in the Confucius Exhibition Hall. Moreover, MPI students attended the lectures of “Development of Guizhou and its Culture” and “Revival of Chinese Culture”, to increase their understanding of the history and traditions of Guizhou. MPI students then visited Huangguoshu Waterfall, Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village, Libo Large Seven-hole Bridge Scenic Resort and Seven Small Arches.
Student Zheng of the Music programme said that she was very impressed by the lectures and natural scenery of Guizhou during this journey. Student Leong of the Marketing programme was amazed by the city infrastructures of Shenzhen and Guizhou, and hopes that he can seize the opportunity brought from the development of the country. The MPI Student Affairs Office believes that visiting different cities in China helps students to understand the national status and deepen their sense of national belonging, therefore inspiring students to better prepare themselves and adapt to the growth of the country.

譚佩珊－社會工作學課程4年級
在經歷了這十天的文化之旅後，真的是讓我對於深圳和貴州都有了一個更深刻的印象。深圳是一個具有濃厚創業文化的地方，在這裡你可以有一個創業夢；而在貴州的少數民族十分多，這次的交流活動我們就去了西江千戶苗寨，體驗當地人的生活和飲食習慣，也感受到當地人的純樸熱情，也去觀賞了貴州的自然景觀，讓我嘆為觀止。
總而言之，這次的交流活動讓我收穫了很多，見識了很多，感受了很多，實在是不虛此行。
許挺姿－言語語言治療課程1年級
這是我人生中第一次踏足深圳和貴州，深圳是一個規劃完善且充滿發展機會的城市，微信的總公司騰訊的創辦人也就是在深圳大學畢業。貴州的風光則是非常獨特，我們參觀了孔子展覽館，並由國內的儒學大師給我們上課，講解貴州的歷史文化和儒家修身之道，獲益良多。貴州是獨特的喀斯特地形，不但山多，而且擁有豐富的天然資源，盛產天麻、杜仲等藥材。除此之外，貴州的少數民族文化也非常特別，像依山而建的吊腳樓，滿身都是銀器的苗族服飾和高山流水的長桌宴飲食文化，都令我大開眼界。
非常感謝澳門理工學院和深圳大學給我機會參加這次的交流之旅。
梁健恆－市場學課程1年級
十天的旅程不知不覺便結束了，這次交流讓我親身了解到內地大學生的生活狀況和中華文化的博大精深。在深圳，我參與了各式各樣的講座，各位講師的博學令我大開眼界。當來到貴州，我的第一印象是這裡的交通網絡十分完整，且做到了城市與環境的交融，我相信數年後這裡會成為國家發展的焦點。
這次交流的另一收穫是認識到來自港澳台的同學，從互不相識到共聚在一起談笑風生，即使在離開時有不捨，但更多的是感恩。
鄭素芬－音樂課程1年級
在深圳期間，我們參加了“中國崛起與中國文化形象”、“三十年來大陸高校變遷”的專題講座，並與教授們進行交流互動。此外，還參觀了深圳的前海展示廳、後海總部基地、深圳大學的大學生創業園、3號藝棧和騰訊總部，使我更加了解深圳的發展前景。之後我們從深圳出發到貴州，先後參加了貴陽孔學堂的4場講座，也遊覽了孔子展覽館、花溪濕地公園、黃果樹大瀑布、西江千戶苗寨、荔波大小七孔等。
此次交流是一次難忘的學習經歷，使我的見識和知識水平提升了一個檔次！而貴州的美麗風景也讓我深深感受到大自然的魅力。謝謝澳門理工學院給我這次寶貴的交流學習機會，這段美好的回憶將永遠珍藏在我的心中。
