Volunteer Teachers in Guizhou province, China
由澳門教師志願者協會和澳門理工學院合辦“澳門師生義教進農村”活動於2012年4月4日至4月8日前往貴州省四個縣進行義教、探訪及交流。我院是次共有18名師生參加，活動主要是透過體驗內地貧困學生在有限資源下的學習生活，使學生明白“珍惜眼前”及“施比受更有福”的道理。活動除向當地學生授課外，還會探訪特困生家庭，舉行聯歡會及探訪當地福利院，讓師生了解貧困地區的學習和生活條件，反思本澳的良好學習生活環境，增強學生對未來生活的意義。
A “Volunteer Teaching in the Countryside” session was organized by the Macao Volunteer Teachers Association and Macao Polytechnic Institute in Guizhou Province, China from April 4th to April 8th 2012. A total of 18 teachers and students participated. The participants not only focused on teaching but also visited the families of extremely poor students and local welfare institutions, as well as holding a ‘gathering party’. The aims of the activity were to arouse students understanding of the principles of "cherishing the present" and "giving rather than receiving” through teaching in poor villages with very limited resources, and to enable them to experience first-hand the living and learning environments of these poverty-stricken areas.
