Professor Chung-Ming Lau, Professor of Management in the Department of Management at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, was Head of the Department from 1995-2007 and Director of the Centre of International Business Studies from 2009-2013. At present, he is concurrently serving as Fellow and Director of the Centre for the Study of Religion and Chinese Society in CUHK's Chung Chi College as well as a member of the University Extension Board and Sub-degree Programmes Revalidation Committee.

Professor Lau obtained his PhD degree from Texas A&M University in the field of organisational behaviour. His BSc (Economics) and MBA degrees are from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. His teaching and research interests include strategic change, the internationalisation of Chinese firms, and management of church organisations. As a result of his academic research work he has published in leading academic journals such as Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Management Studies, Organizational Science, Management International Review, Journal of World Business, International Business Review, Human Relations, and Entrepreneurship: Theory & Practice.

In addition, Professor Lau is the founding President of the Asia Academy of Management. He has received an Outstanding Doctoral Alumni Award from the Mays Business School, Texas A&M University, and a Research Excellence Award from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
