Academic Year Application Procedures |
|
| I. |
As to convenient
students, On-line application for all Degree Programme has
taken effect. Students need to submit the on-line
application. Please follow the instructions of the
on-line application, do it step by step, submit all required
document
by deadline, then the application is finished and succeeded.
Moreover, applicant should follow the instructions as below:
| 1) |
candidates
for the Higher
Diploma in Design , after the on-line
application, must present a written
composition (pre-defined topic: “Design in Macao – personal
perspectives”) of 800 to 1000 characters accompanied
by a hard copy of the application form and photocopies
of other related documents, such as ID card, latest academic
report and/or the high school graduation certificate
and a 1½ inches photo, to Registry between 03/03/2008 – 12/03/2008; |
2)

candidates
for the Bachelor of Arts in
Design (Complementary) , after the on-line application, must present a written
composition (pre-defined topic: “Design in Macao – personal
perspectives”) of 800 to 1000 characters to Registry
between 03/03/2008 – 12/03/2008;

| 3) |
candidates
for the Higher Diploma
in Visual Art (Educational) or Higher
Diploma in Music Education Field , after
the on-line application, must present a hard copy of
the application form accompanied by photocopies of
other related documents, such as ID card, latest academic
report and/or the high school graduation certificate
and a 1½ inches photo, to Registry between 03/03/2008 – 12/03/2008;

candidates
for the Bachelor of Arts in
Visual Art (Educational) , after the on-line application, must present “Major
Programme Ennollment From”, to Registry between
03/03/2008 – 12/03/2008;

| 5) |
candidates
for the Bachelor of Social
Sciences in Social Work , who are job holders, must present an admission application
form from ESAP, an employee I.D., a work certificate/contract
written document properly signed by its employers and
in case its GPA (Grade Point Average) is lower than
2.0, a recommendation letter signed by the employer
or its immediate superior accompanied by a hard copy
of the on-line application to Registry between 03/03/2008 – 12/03/2008;

candidates
for the Bachelor of Science
in Nursing(Night) or Bachelor
of Science in Biomedical Studies(Night) , after the
on-line application, must present a hard copy of the
application form accompanied by photocopies of other
related documents, such as ID card, latest academic
report and/or the Higher Diploma graduation certificate,
a work certificate properly signed by its employers
and a 1½ inches photo, to Registry between 03/03/2008 – 12/03/2008;

one
must pay the application fee (MOP$100,00) (non-refundable),
either by credit card (on-line) or by cash, cheque
and/or promissory note in favour of the MACAO
POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE at MPI's Treasury Department
(1st floor – Academic
Building).

| II. |
Candidates of the below mentioned courses may
have their Written Admission Examination waived. For such and
after the on-line application, they must contact (in person)
Registry between 03/03/2008 – 12/03/2008 with a hard
copy of the application form accompanied by photocopies of
other related documents, such as ID card, latest academic report
and/or the high school graduation certificate and a 1½ inches
photo, and as well as prove of their skills in the correspondent
area.

Higer
Diploma in Chinese - English Translation and Interpretation;
|
| 2) |
Higer
Diploma in Physical Education and Sports;
|
| 3) |
Higer
Diploma in Visual Art (Educational) or Higher Diploma
in Music Education.
|

| III. |
Non-local applicants should pay the tuition
fee in Patacas or HK dollars (the difference due to money exchange
is non-refundable) through the following methods.
| 1) |
Bank
draft: made payable to ‘Macao Polytechnic Institute” and
it should be paid by the form of “Drawn on Macao
Bank”.
|
| 2) |
Telegraphic
Transfer: applicants should transfer the tuition fee
from the Bank of China, either overseas or Mainland
branch, to the Institute’s Bank of China account
(01-01-20-788203) in Macao branch, with the name of
the applicant and the type of fees indicated.
|
| 3) |
China
Unionpay RMB Card: MPI Treasury will accept China Unionpay
RMB Card to settle all kinds of payments to MPI. However,
Treasury will not accept China Unionpay RMB Card payment
with amount less than MOP500.00.

For postal submission of application
forms and application fees, please send them to: Registry,
Macao Polytechnic Institute, Rua de Luis Gonzaga Gomes,
Macao. Date of submission will be based on the date of
the postal chop. No late submission will be considered. |

* To
avoid late submission, you are advised to submit your
application as soon as possible. |
| |
Note: Please keep the
tuition payment’s receipt for the entrance examination
or for other validation purposes. |

/ submit the relevant information on time. |
