Time flies so quickly and it has been long days since my last Melbourne visit. To be honest, I have to say that I was lucky to be chosen as a member of this fantastic oversea study program. I really appreciate our school because it gives me this chance to go abroad for learning and living there around 3 weeks.

In Melbourne, I got in touch with many different kinds of foreign cultures and I made friends with many nice/lovely/terrific students from Japan. There were so many great memories in Melbourne. I am very glad to have this opportunity to share my experience to you. Basically, I will separate it to two parts: one is something about my self-development, and the other is my fantastic journey in Melbourne.

We started our journey to Melbourne in a group of 22 students. We took a ferry to Hong Kong International Airport directly from Macao Outer Harbor Ferry Terminal and then flew to Melbourne by plane. After we arrived in Melbourne, we were picked up to our home stays and then we formally started our overseas study.

We studied at the city campus of Monash University. It was located in the CBD of Melbourne where you could easily find so many restaurants, stores and high-rises. We studied in this multi-cultural city and it really made me feel good. Our program was called MPP (Monash Professional Pathways) and it aimed to give us an overview of Australia and to improve our presentation skills. As you know, Australia had many immigrants, so that many different kinds of cultures came into Melbourne and made it become a lovely city. In Melbourne, I improved my English a lot. I learned lots of English words in my daily life. When I went to a restaurant, I found a lot of new words in the menu that I had not known before. So I had to look up the words with my online digital dictionary very often. Besides, we learned many things about business. For example, we visited a company and we saw how it worked. I learned how to write formal business emails and reports. All in all, it brought me lots of precious memories and I love this city so much.

Apart from the study, I tried to use all my leisure time to explore this lovely city. The sky in Melbourne was really blue and you could see many birds here and there. They actually were not afraid of humans. Furthermore, I visited almost all the tourist attractions near Melbourne, such as the Great Ocean Road, the Victoria Market and Melbourne Museum. Another thing I would recommend you to do is to enjoy the local food in Melbourne.  I tried to taste kangaroo meat, fish and chips and some local brunch. They really tasted good. One thing I should point out is the public transportation in Melbourne. It only takes 25 minutes by train from 15 km outside the city. But the weak point is that it costs AUD$140 for 3 weeks. Generally, I think the public transportation in Melbourne is brilliant because I can choose different ways to go to CBD and it is really fast and convenient. All in all, I really enjoyed my life in Melbourne.

Thanks to this Overseas Study Program which was held by MPI. I really cherish these memories in Melbourne. I will definitely go back to Melbourne one day.
