My impression of Melbourne was that it is one of busiest cities in the world. You could see different people from all over the world, like German, India, Japan, etc. Melbourne also has a good city planning. They separate different area for different type of use. Our school is near the Flinders Street Railway Station. That area has a lot of commercial building, like Emirates. There is a tram route for tourists to travel around the city. Furthermore, all of the tram routes are free within the free tram zone; I think the Australian Government has put a great effort to attract more tourists. There are lots of attractions in Melbourne, for example, the Eureka Skydeck, Melbourne Zoo, State Library of Victoria, Queen Victoria Market, all are located in the urban city; they all are worth to visit.

As mentioned above you can see a lot of people who come from different countries. We could see the same situation in our school, Monash College. They have a large group of teacher, such as Americans, British, Malaysians, Germans, etc. They provided great courses for us. I appreciated two teachers in this school. The first one is Sue who is the program organizer. She helps us to deal with different problems in Melbourne. When someone said that the host family cannot provide enough food for him, she helped him to deal with the problem. We can feel that Sue is very caring. The next one is Lenka. She uses different methods to teach us. She always used role plays to help the student know more easily what she is presenting. We could learn different business culture in the lesson. We knew how to become more polite when introducing ourselves. We also learned about Melbourne history. Then we went out to visit different agencies in Melbourne, like The Port of Melbourne and City of Melbourne. The School provided opportunities to visit public agency ‘City of Melbourne’ to know how they operate public service in Melbourne. In the school, we built up a good relationship with the MPI students and Japanese students. We went out together and made a lot of memories.

My host family had three kids. My host father and mother were very kind. They were caring about me and provided a lot of food for me too, including Chinese food. They organized some activities for me to visit the countryside. I was deeply grateful to them in those 21 days together. I wish them all the best in the future.

I want to say thank you to Macao Polytechnic Institute, Monash College, the host family and the Japanese students. Thank you!
