First of all, thanks Macao Polytechnic Institute for giving me the opportunity to do the exchange study in Australia, and all the arrangements in the programme. That allows me to have a well preparation for the trip.

After 9.5 hours flight to Melbourne, the warm welcome of the host family made me forget the anxiety, although the first few days were uneasy to accustom. My host family is generous and takes good care of me, treat me as a family member. For example, they would remind me to be safe in school and life, asked me not to stay out too late. They would wait for me to come home and eat together, sharing feelings and arrangements in Melbourne. I am so glad that my host family has given me a full support and warmth in this winter, so that I could get used to the environment in Melbourne.

The main purpose of coming to Melbourne is learning. Through the study of GPP (Global Professional Program) curriculum, it helped me to enrich my knowledge in the field of art design and business corporation. For example, how people communicate and cooperate, how to understand themselves and others in the role in different positions as a team, in order to improve the overall efficiency and get a joyful and successful result. Meanwhile, we visited the famous Vitoria Historical Museum, understanding the changes of Melbourne in the 19th century, especially the distribution of population, migration and the impact to the local economy. Through the visit, I found out the relationship between China and Australia in early twentieth century, a lot of Chinese has sailed to Australia during that period. Besides, we had chances to have a site visit to the large local enterprises and the freight port, understanding the operation and management of the enterprise.

In addition, we met a group of Japanese students. In a short period of more than two weeks, we got along well with them. We traveled together some interesting and modern architectures in Melbourne after class, we tried the signature local snacks. Although we have experienced in different culture and living habits, we deeply felt the unique charm of the city.

This was my first time in Australia. Although it was less than a month in Melbourne, many beautiful and unforgettable memories have already engraved on my memory. If I continue study hard and keep a good study attitude, I believe I can get opportunities to go some other countries and experience different cultures in the near future.
