The three week journey to Melbourne was really amazing and we all had a good time. Now I’d like to share some interesting things and experiences.

In the first week, I found many cultural differences which were different and challenging. Firstly, eating habits are quite different. In China we often eat noodles or soup in breakfast. But in Australia people eat cereals and milk. Secondly, transportation rules are different. People in Australia stand or walk on the left instead of right, which is opposite to China. Also cars hardly honk in Australia. Thirdly, stores in Melbourne always close very early before 8 pm.

I also had a really nice time with my home stay family. By watching TV with my host mom, I found that Australian football is one of the most popular sports in Australia. As my host mom said almost all Melbourne people support a football team. I also found that many children like to play Australia football after school.  Also my host mom offered me numerous nice dishes.

The most significant thing I had learned in the second week was how to interview during the seminar with the managers of CPA. They shared many experiences and suggestions about interview. Furthermore, we observed the company’s environment and how they function. And I also observed the speakers speech skills. Two of the speakers were full of passion and really surprised me with their wonderful speeches.

One of the speakers shared his personal experience with us. He had used many years to find the direction of his career and he failed many times. He told us not to compare the lives of others and simply try your best to make your own life amazing.
We went to the Great Ocean Road during the second weekend. It was really a fantastic trip since we saw many amazing views that I have never seen them before. We also had an opportunity to try to catch crabs, which was also a new experience for me. Furthermore we had a nice tour guide and a beautiful motel. All in all, we had a wonderful journey. The classes in the second week were very interesting and I had learned much knowledge from them. The biggest learning in the third week was the visit to Dairy Innovation Company. During this visit I saw the improvements brought by new technology. By using the new technology, the Dairy Innovation can control all production steps precisely and can also reduce human labor meanwhile improve efficiency.

We had a chance to look around in the Dairy Innovation Company and saw the laboratory and other facilities. What I did not expect was that the facilities and the processes were advanced and precise. This ensures the company attains accurate data and provides useful information to its partners.

For me it was a perfect experience and I learned a lot from this visit. Also I asked some questions about company’s marketing strategies after the presentation.

The most interesting fact was about an aseptic laboratory. The laboratory was used to research the new formula of cheese. The procedure was really accurate and automatic.

There is no doubt that this three week’s program must become one of the most memorable moments of my life!
