In order to encourage Macao best students to enroll in the Higher degree programmes offered by Macao Polytechnic Institute (MPI), and reward our current and graduate honour students, MPI and other enterprise organisations have co-organised a number of types of scholarships and grants by reducing the annual tuition fees and granting cash rewards. Every academic year, more than a hundred of students benefit from the scholarship scheme.

Moreover, to attract the registration of Mainland China best students, MPI also has three groups of scholarships, as follows:
1^st - three full scholarships (including tuition fees, hostel fees, monthly living subsidy, total amount MOP56,380.00);
2^nd - four scholarships of MOP30,000.00;
3^rd - ten scholarships of 1^st year 50% tuition fee deduction.
The first and second type’s scholarships can be awarded for four years subsequently.

Furthermore, to encourage our students to continue their studies, MPI also has the Master degree programmes scholarships for local students to study in well-known universities, abroad and in the Mainland.

MPI provides the local student grants scheme to help those with financial difficulties to enroll in the Higher degree programmes offered by MPI, in order to allow them equal opportunity to enroll and enrich their individual capability so to serve the society in the future. Therefore, MPI each year reserves more than one million patacas to grant for those students in need. According to previous data, some of the beneficiates may get up to 80% annual tuition fee reduction. Currently, more than 600 students have benefited from this grant offer, and some have successfully graduated and are already serving our community.
