The School of Public Administration, formerly School of Administration and Applied Sciences, is one of the schools with the longest history in the Macao Polytechnic Institute. Established in 1991, upon the founding of the Macao Polytechnic Institute, the School has already served the community for more than 10 years.

The mission of the School is to provide up-to-date and market-oriented (practical) education, to advance learning and knowledge, as well as to enable students to obtain the maximum benefits of higher education, in three fields, namely computer studies, social work, and public administration.
During the past decade, the School has trained hundreds of qualified professionals. It is currently seeking new ways to upgrade teaching staff, facilities and courses. In the future, the School will continue to place the needs of both the students and the society at the forefront of its mission, with the aim of not only making life at the School as fulfilling as possible, but also expanding its connections with various organisations in society.
