Call for Papers

The quest for quality assurance of higher education across the boundaries of nations have become important given the increasingly interdependence of economies and the rapid growth of international students around the world. Quality of teaching and learning is one of the cornerstones of the development of higher education in the 21st century internationally. The conference focuses on theme of “Teaching and Learning Quality Assurance in International Contexts”. International scholars and experts are welcome to submit papers on the following topics relating to teaching and learning quality of higher education.

1.

International or regional comparative studies of teaching and learning quality assurance systems.

2.

“Enhancement” of teaching and learning in higher education.

3.

Outcome-based approach to teaching and learning.

4.

Learning environment of students.

5.

Student evaluation of teachers (SET) and teacher self-evaluation (TSE).

6.

Assessment of students’ professional competence.

7.

Voice of students to enhance teaching effectiveness.

8.

Use of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in teaching and learning enhancement.

9.

Professional development for teachers in connection with teaching and students’ learning.

10.

Quality assurance framework to safeguard and enhance experiences of international students.

11.

Case studies of teaching and learning quality assurance in higher education with special reference to Asia-Pacific.

12.

Other relevant topics related to the conference theme.

Media

Papers in Chinese or in English are both welcome.

Submission

Interested parties may fill in the paper submission form and email it to HEConf@ipm.edu.mo on or before 31 July 2019.

The paper should neither have been published before, nor should it be under consideration for publication elsewhere. Submitted papers will be reviewed according to their relevancy (to the conference theme), originality, and clarity. Accepted papers will be invited for presentation during the conference.

Registration and Fee

Registration is free. Free hotel accommodation* and meals** will be provided to participants presenting papers on the conference. Other costs are on the responsibility of the participants.

* Hotel accommodation will be provided for non-local participants only. One single room (with standard breakfast) will be provided to one scholar for each accepted paper. The check-in/out schedule is as below:
Check-in: 19 Nov (after 14:00)
Check-out: 22 Nov (before 12:00 noon)
** Including lunch and dinner on 20 Nov, and lunch on 21 Nov.
