The quest for quality higher education and the networking of individuals across the boundaries of nations or regions have become increasingly important given the growth in local and international student numbers. Quality of teaching and learning is one of the cornerstones of the development of higher education in 21st century as well as the main content of internal quality assurance system. There is therefore a need for international cooperation among scholars, experts, teaching professionals and other stakeholders to promote understanding of quality assurance of these aspects and to learn from each other. There have been developments of new theories and practices in various aspects of teaching and learning around the world in recent years.
