Training Courses

Macao Polytechnic Institute, through its Portuguese Teaching and Research Centre (PTRC), organized a Summer training course in Portuguese at MPI between June 29 and July 11th, 2014, particularly for teachers from mainland China who teach Portuguese at the universities of mainland China.
 
This training course had 21 partipants from 16 universities in mainland China and obtained very positive results, both in evaluating trainers and trainees, such as assessment of trainees.
 
The trainers were Carlos Ascenso André, Professor of Macao Polytechnic Institute and Coordinator of the Portuguese Teaching and Research Centre (PTRC) and also Professor of the Faculty of Arts, University of Coimbra, where he was Director between 2006 and 2013, with a PhD in Classical Languages and Literatures; Rosa Porfíria Bizarro, Associate Professor of the Macao Polytechnic Institute, PhD in Teaching of Foreign Languages and, until recently, Professor in the Faculty of Arts, University of Porto; Isabel Poço Lopes, formerly Professor of the Faculty of Arts and Deputy Director in the University of Coimbra and currently Associate Professor, Macao Polytechnic Institute, with a PhD in Portuguese Linguistics; and Lucia Vaz Pedro from Porto, Portugal, with extensive experience in teaching education, and publications in the field of Grammar and Communication in Portugal.
