Prof. Zhou Aiguang

Professor Zhou Aiguang is currently the Dean of the School of Physical Education and Sports Science, professor and doctoral supervisor in South China Normal University. He is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Social Physical Education Research Society of the Sports Committee of the China Association of Higher Education, accreditation expert of the National Social Science Fund of China, member of the China Sports Development Strategy Research Society, Executive Council Member of the China Sports Law Research Society and the Executive Director of the Guangzhou Sports Science Society.

Professor Zhou has been dedicating himself to teaching and research in Physical Education, Sports Philosophy and Sports Law for many years with generations of students ranging from undergraduate to doctoral levels. Up to the present, he has supervised over 20 doctoral students. Apart from teaching and research, Professor Zhou also has rich experience in academic accreditation. He is a member of the review group of the Physical Education of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, member of the National Teaching Guidance Committee for the Master of Physical Education Programme, principal of the National Teaching Guidance Committee for Physical Education in Higher Education, and Director of the National Teaching Guidance Committee for Physical Education in Higher Education in Guangdong province.

Professor Zhou has published more than 50 academic papers and has chaired and accomplished many research projects from provincial (municipal) to national levels, receiving various awards for his outstanding research outputs.

At present, Professor Zhou has been appointed as a part-time or visiting professor of more than 10 sports colleges and universities.
