Payment Methods for Degree Programmes

Payment at MPI Finance Office – Cashier Counter

Cash / Credit card / Unionpay Card / Crossed-cheque / Cashier order / Macau Pass Card / Electronic Wallet in mobile version (MPay) / BOC Pay / UnionPay App

Students can pay the tuition fee (bring along the tuition fee debit note )or various service charges in cash, by credit card, Unionpay Card, crossed-cheque, cashier order, Macau Pass Card, Electronic Wallet in mobile version (MPay), BOC Pay or UnionPay App  during office hours at Finance Office – Cashier Counter on 2nd floor of Administration Building on Rua de Luis Gonzaga Gomes, Macao.

Crossed cheques or cashier orders should be made payable to the "Instituto Politecnico de Macau".

Office hours

Monday to Thursday : 9:00 a.m. – 5:45 p.m. (no lunch break) *
Friday : 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (no lunch break) *

Close on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays

Work as usual during lunch break (13:00 – 14:30) but service limited to cashier counter.

Payment by Online Service

  • Students can settle their admission fee and tuition fee payment by Online Service via Credit Card(Visa or MasterCard) or UnionPay Online Payment but beware that there are two kinds of UnionPay cards: Credit card and Debit card. CEP (Macao Postal Savings) accepts UnionPay Credit card issued by China, Macao or Hong Kong and UnionPay Debit card issued by Macao or Hong Kong.   • Full fees should be paid by the due date indicated on the debit note.

Payment at "Banco Nacional Ultramarino" , "OCBC Wing Hang Bank" or "Bank of China Macau Branch"

Payment can be made in cash, by cheque, cashier order or bank transfer. Students have to bring along the tuition fee debit note to the Banco Nacional Ultramarino (BNU) or OCBC Wing Hang Bank head office or any branches in order to pay; Students can also pay at the Bank of China, Macao Branch (BOC) but related bank charges are to be borne by the students. OCBC and BOC will not accept other banks’ cheques or cashier orders on the last payment date. Upon payment, part 3 of the debit note will be given back to the student for reference.

Payment By Credit Card at Bank

  • Students can pay tuition fees using credit card issued by any major banks (Visa or MasterCard) at the “Banco Nacional Ultramarino (BNU)”, “OCBC Wing Hang Bank” or “Bank of China, Macao Branch (BOC)”.
  • This service is limited to degree programme students of the Macao Polytechnic Institute and full payment must be made by the due date indicated on the debit note.
  • To pay the tuition fee by credit card, the card holder has to present his/her credit card and the tuition fee debit note at the counters of the above mentioned banks’ head office or at any branches. When the card authorization is duly processed and the transaction has been approved, the card holder has to sign on both the card customer voucher and the tuition fee debit note with the same signature. After signature verification, Part 3 of the debit note and the card customer voucher will be returned to the card holder as receipts.
  • Full fees should be paid by the due date indicated on the debit note.

BNU ATM and Online Service

  • Students can settle their payment at the counter of “Banco Nacional Ultramarino (BNU)” or by using its Online Service via Credit Card (Visa or MasterCard) or UnionPay Online Payment but beware that there are two kinds of UnionPay cards: Credit card and Debit card.  CEP (Macao Postal Savings) accepts UnionPay Credit card issued by China, Macao or Hong Kong and UnionPay Debit card issued by Macao or Hong Kong. BOC Express and Online Service

  • Students can settle their payment by using the BOC Express Payment Service or “BOC Online” Service. Related payment transactions can be confirmed via the transaction history enquiry.
  • This service is limited to degree programme students of the Macao Polytechnic Institute and full payment must be made by the due date indicated on the debit note.

Payment By Post

  • Make a crossed cheque, cashier order or bank draft payable to the “Instituto Politecnico de Macau” and mail to Rua de Luís Gonzaga Gomes, Macao together with the tuition fee debit note. In case of payments by bank drafts, all related bank charges are to be borne by the student.
  • Write down the name and student number on the back of the cheque, cashier order or bank draft.
  • As mailing takes time, students should consider the time needed for mailing. Ensure that the postal payment arrives at MPI before the payment due date; otherwise it will be regarded as late payment.
  • Students should be aware of fluctuation of foreign exchange rates which may result in currency exchange differences from time to time. MPI will not make any refund for the excess amount of the bank draft.

Payment By Telegraphic Transfer

Notes:
Payment can only be made by the due date as indicated on the debit note. Otherwise, MPI may apply a late payment charge of MOP200.00 or payment will not be accepted.
