Teaching Quality Committee was established in 2004 for the objective of enhancing the Institute’s teaching quality management framework. Teaching Quality Committee is responsible to the Institute Management Board for overseeing all matters related to the development, review and delivery of academic programmes at appropriate academic standards. TQC is chaired by the President of the Institute. Regular meetings are held to review issues related to teaching quality of all academic units and to suggest measures to further enhance it. Since its establishment in 2004, the Committee has worked on both the regulations and review of academic work of the Institute, including the establishment of an Institute-wide part-time academic staff recruitment procedure, improving the system for the accreditation of the academic qualifications of newly employed academic staff, and selecting the finalists for the Best Teacher Award.
