To enhance the teaching,
learning, and research of computer at Macao Polytechnic Institute (MPI)
through optimal utilization of all relevant resources, the Computer Teaching
and Research Committee was established in August 2006 to organize and
design institute-wide plans for computer teaching and research work of
MPI, to evaluate the computer instruction quality, to provide recommendations
and advice for the promotion of computer teachers, to serve on computer
teacher recruitment committees and provide academic evaluations, to make
recommendations for the selection of the computer related programme coordinator
of each academic unit, and to organize computer competition activities
on behalf of MPI. The Computer Teaching and Research Committee is chaired
by the President of MPI. Committee members include the computer related
programme coordinator from each academic unit, Head of Computer Service
Centre, Head of Division for Pedagogical Affairs, Head of Division for
Research and Publications, Person in charge of Computer Information Office
of Macao Tourism and Casino Career Centre, and two full-time teachers
appointed by the Management Board.
