The Center for Sino-Western Cultural
Study of MPI, the First Historical Archives of China and
Peking University co-operated to run this programme. The
compilation includes two volumes of 553 documents on the
relationship between China and Portugal, and three volumes
of 806 documents on the relationship between China and
Spain. All documents are selected from the archive collection
of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs kept in the First Historical
Archives of China. These archives are not only the recorded
communications between China and Portugal, China and Spain,
but also a part history of Macao.
